Painting, drawing and thread: the invisible tensions between body, object and space.

The artistic research presented here revolves around the invisible tensions that run through the body, the object and space. Moving beyond descriptive representation, the aim is to explore how painting can convey social and psychological dynamics that are difficult to articulate. The works explore states of transformation, constraint and memory by bringing together figurative and abstract forms.

04Practice

My practice is rooted in the materiality of oil and acrylic painting and of mixed media, including wool and paper relief. It is informed by several years spent between India and France, where I led public art projects, participatory workshops and educational programmes.

Painting is understood here not as a simple representation of the visible world, but as a sensitive instrument for translating experiences that are difficult to name: inner tensions, social pressures, traces of the past or forms of shifting identity.
